CSV Viewer & Editor

Open a CSV file or paste its contents to view, search, sort, and edit cells. Everything runs in this browser; your data is not uploaded or saved.

Quoted fields can contain delimiters, quotes, and line breaks.

Files up to 1 MB are processed locally.

Paste CSV or open a .csv file to get started.

CSV format and editing notes

The viewer detects comma, semicolon, or tab separators from a sample of records; choose a delimiter manually if the guess is wrong. Fields enclosed in double quotes may contain separators or line breaks, and a double quote inside a quoted field is represented by two double quotes. CRLF and LF record endings are accepted.

The first row is treated as headers when the option is selected. Duplicate header names are kept as entered and are distinguished in the table by column number. Rows with fewer values are padded with empty cells; extra values extend the table with blank header cells. Adding or deleting rows changes the exported data. Sorting changes row order in the export; search only filters the display. Empty cells remain empty.

Files are limited to 1 MB, 10,000 data rows, 200 columns, and 100,000 cells; generated exports are limited to 2 MB. The table renders a page of rows at a time to keep larger files manageable. Export uses CRLF line endings by default and quotes delimiters, quotes, and line breaks. Formula protection adds a leading apostrophe to values that could be interpreted as spreadsheet formulas; review the exported data for your target application.
