Using Base64

Choose Encode or Decode, enter text, and run the selected action. Encoding converts the text to UTF-8 bytes before making standard padded Base64. Decoding accepts the standard alphabet (A–Z, a–z, 0–9, +, /) and requires = padding when the encoded length calls for it. ASCII spaces, tabs, and line breaks are ignored between Base64 characters; URL-safe and unpadded variants are not accepted.

Base64 is an encoding for representing bytes as text. It is not encryption, does not hide information, and does not protect sensitive data. Anyone who has Base64 text can decode it.

Decoding is strict: malformed alphabet or padding is rejected, and decoded bytes must be valid UTF-8 text. Binary files and other non-text bytes are not displayed as text by this tool.
